Open for business

Well here it is, my very own blog. Yes yes I was a bit slow on getting with the times on this one especially with the success of things like blogger.com and myspace.com but I have started one now and that’s still a good start.

There are a couple of reasons for starting up this site.

One is I have been interested in having my own webpage for a while, so a blog/webpage hybrid seems like a good idea.

Second is because im such a sheep, people from NZ would love me.

Third is (and it may sound corny) to increase my English skills and my typing speed. This should be beneficial to both my time at university and my professional career after that.

Forth, I have had a rekindled interest in computer systems since dipping my toe in Linux, so this gives me a chance to give back to the community and play behind the scenes with my interest (no that was not a porn reference lol)

So here it is, a blog not on myspace but on the wordpress.com which is run by the opensource wordpress blogging software. This should hopefully let me transfer it over to my own server one day.

So the news at the moment:

• The idiots at ABC have been pressured by the bastards at the Liberal party to cut down on the amount of ‘bias’ in their programming. The result? The Glass House has be axed. Even though the PM has denied this allegation, there has been a lot of pressure put on the ABC of late to reduce the level of bias in their programming. This resulted in the ABC broadcasting a wide range of shows where if 1 show paid out on little bald Johnny, another would be nipping and big fat Beazley. This creates a good even level of bias, but apparently they now want individual shows to be even on bias too. The Glass House continued to pay out johnny and so they got cut. The point is, the liberals give people like hughsy alot more material to work with, and if labour was in government, they would be the ones being paid out on.
• A sad day it was yesterday when Zoë got dumped by her boyfriend of 10 months ‘Panda’ over the phone. Quite a gutless way to do it. The reason given was that she had changed after her trip to Europe – probably her recent addiction to hash brownies.
• Jaci is in Toowoomba buying furniture, sleeping and having her parents force more christianity on her.
• Due to a stuffup I missed my marketing exam which means I have to apply for differed assessment.. A tantrum ensued.
