Packing

I am packing to head back to Brisbane. Head down there on Tuesday and cannot wait! I have so much shit though its ridiculous plus i have to bring down some crap of erins (some tickle me elmo vibrator or something).

Other then that I have been going to the beach a bit lately to show off my tan to all the pale city folk. It has be beautiful and there has been a junior life saving tournament on so the eye candy was pretty impressive too :D I really miss the beach down in Brisbane. I mean sure we have that kiddy piss pool they call south bank but its just not the same thing. I miss the salt, the sand, the waves, the wildlife, the “wildlife”, the screaming of a stupid tourist from England drowning in a foot of water, its just something you cannot replicate.

But yeah, new year at Brisbane brings new people. I am in a really big room for this year which I am happy with, there are guys in my unit too .. YAY! lol. A few people from up home are down in Brisbane too. There is Becky, my old friend who went to Europe for all of last year (bitch) and developed a British accent (which I take so much pleasure in teasing her about) is now back and doing a course at UQ. She is staying with Elaine from Raymont so I know she will be corrupted real quick. Then there is Kate Styliano (or something). She is one crazy and outgoing person that I met through Kate Flint. I have taken her under my wing so she will be my QUT buddy. In that role I have to help her out with uni, show her where the best places to drink are and probably run down the Riverside expressway in the raw with her after a big night out. There is also Mel. I met this young lass who I don’t know her last name, through an old toolooa band friend when she had her 18th. Shes doing Teaching and Drama at Kelvin Grove and so I will also be trying to help her out when she needs it.

You also get some people who will not be coming back. Josh Trask is an example. He apparently did not like his course, failed a unit, found a girl in Tannum and has a temporary job as a scaffolder.

All in all I am looking forward to this year, hope its better then last not that last year was a bad year.

Ripoff Ahoy!

Just curious as to whether they bump up the price of flowers around Valentines day and I was shocked, the cheapest I can find a single long stemmed rose for is $39. What a crock of shit! How can they justify that, sure they would be in demand but I am sooo growing some roses next year.

Edit: after looking at some markets you can get them for $14.95 delivered. Still a bit exxy for 1 flower.

Brisbane is my home

Its funny, when I first moved to Brisbane I thought it would be fun and interesting but I always thought I would refer to Tannum as home. But the thing is, I have been back for 2 and a bit months and im sick of it up here. Most of this is probably because of my stupid short tempered dad, but yeah I am just getting bored up here.

Sorry for not posting anything new lately but there is not alot different I have been doing over the past week or so compared to the rest of the holidays. Get up at 7, get hot, itchy, sweaty and dirty. Come home and get to sleep at about 1 int he morning. I dont mind it that much since my parents have been helping me with uni and stuff, but sometimes it just seems like its not appreciated and that I cant do anything good.

Um, in other news a few things have been happening to lift my moods, but I cant comment on them just at this time, hopefully in a future post. I will be coming back to Brisbane a bit earlier then expected, mainly because I just want to go “home”.

My party was pretty good as those of you that showed would know. To those that didnt… poo on you. Thanks for the presents.

Its Wet!

Its raining. Has been for the last day or so which is great, the place really needed it. Our dam is actually rising… really slowly but its rising none the less.

The rain is not so good though when you have a party on saturday which an unknown number of people are going to be coming to. It is also not good when you are on a boat trying to weld a hatch over a big 1×2 meter hole with a makeshift tarp tent leakng water on the mig welder and grinder. In the end we gave up because the grinder was giving me friendly greetings in the form of tingly fingers.
